Red Clay Cattle Company

Four generations of raising cattle the right way on the rolling hills of northeast Alabama.

Meet Our Family

Welcome to Red Clay Cattle

Nestled in the foothills of Sand Mountain, our 280-acre farm has been home to the Dawson family since 1947. What started as my great-grandfather's dream after coming home from the war has grown into something our whole family takes pride in every single day. We raise Black Angus cattle the way they're meant to be raised—on open pasture, with room to roam, eating the grass God put here for them. No feedlots. No hormones. No shortcuts. When you buy beef from Red Clay Cattle Company, you're not just getting meat. You're getting four generations of know-how, a handshake promise of quality, and the satisfaction of knowing exactly where your food comes from.

Our Promise to You

Grass-Fed & Pasture-Raised

Our cattle spend their lives on open pasture, rotating through our fields the way nature intended. Better for the animals, better for the land, better on your plate.

No Hormones, Ever

We don't use growth hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. Just good genetics, quality forage, and the patient approach my grandfather taught my father, who taught me.

Family to Family

When you call Red Clay Cattle, you get a Dawson. We know our customers by name, and we stand behind every cut of beef that leaves this farm.
